The New Balance 997 MiUSA “Paris” Arrives for the Olympics
Celebrate the Olympics with a limited edition 997 dripping in premium materials.
New Balance has been a sneaker OG for ages, churning out legendary running shoes that left their mark on the industry. Their 99X series is a prime example, known for blending tech with top-notch materials. Think comfy kicks with a touch of class, especially their MADE in USA (MiUSA) line.
Speaking of MiUSA, Teddy Santis, the creative director of Aimé Leon Dore, has been bringing back some classics. The 997 is next in line for a grand comeback, but before the usual colorways drop, there’s a hyper-exclusive “Paris” version celebrating the upcoming Olympics. This exclusive pair comes with a special edition 990v6 too!
The 997 MiUSA “Paris” features premium materials. The upper is crafted from nubuck, leather, suede, and even some velvet. The colorway pays homage to the New Balance Le Marais store in Paris, with tan hues on the mudguard and midfoot, evoking the city’s classic architecture and warm tones. The iconic N logo pops in green suede, while the collar is made entirely of velvet.
Metallic gold leather adds extra shine and contrasts with the brown hairy suede tongue. Red details on the sockliner and tan nubuck near the vamp add the finishing touches. The comfy cream midsole and black outsole complete this stylish and comfortable sneaker.
The New Balance 997 MiUSA “Paris” will only be available exclusively at Paris’ New Balance Le Marais store on 26 July. No official price has been listed for the limited-edition silhouette yet.
