Is this genius marketing or mocking the system?

Travis Scott found himself in trouble again early Thursday morning in Miami. Police arrested the rapper, real name Jacques Webster II, for disorderly intoxication and trespassing after an altercation with a charter boat crew.

Following his release on bail, Scott played into the online attention. He first tweeted a simple “lol” and then posted a doctored mugshot on his Instagram story, complete with sunglasses and headphones. He then tweeted that his tour is starting soon and in true rager mode, he won’t be changing his ways at all.

Travis Scott also wasted no time using the opportunity to create merchandise based on his arrest. Within hours, his website added a new t-shirt featuring the edited mugshot and a quote attributed to him during the arrest: “It’s Miami.”

The Free The Rage #2 Tee boasts a charitable twist—a portion of the proceeds go to Scott’s Cactus Jack Foundation, which empowers youth through education and creative resources.

For those who remember, this isn’t the first time Scott’s turned an arrest into merch. In 2017, a wild performance in Arkansas landed him in handcuffs for inciting a riot. He then released a similar “Free The Rage” white tee which was sold out quickly.

So, if you want to support a good cause or own an exclusive Travis Scott top, the t-shirt is currently available on Travis Scott’s official website, with an RRP of US$35.
