A Parra x Vans Half Cab Is OTW for Go Skateboarding Day
Also coinciding with Fête de la Musique, a Parisian celebration of music.
European streetwear label Parra joins forces with the quintessential Californian skateboarding brand, Vans, for a limited-edition Half Cab celebrating Go Skateboarding Day 2024. The classic silhouette gets a makeover reflecting the spirit of not just Go Skateboarding Day, but also the coinciding Fête de la Musique, a Parisian celebration of music, on 21 June.
Inspired by the French flag, the upper boasts a bold tricolor scheme—a nod to both the national identity and the unifying spirit of skateboarding. Parra’s signature touch, however, lies in the playfully distorted edges, a design element echoing their recent Nike collaborations. New images from @mvncnt hint at a whimsical bird graphic adorning the tongue and lateral branding, injecting a touch of Parra’s hallmarks.
The packaging is rumored to feature a special edition box adorned with abstract Vans typography and squiggly lines, a perfect complement to Parra’s artistic sensibilities.
While an official release date hasn’t been disclosed, the Parra x Vans Half Cab’s clear connection to 21 June suggests an imminent arrival. Stay tuned!
