[Update 24 Jan 2025] The release of the Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro OG “Grape” has been postponed to 21 June with a retail price of US$210. New visuals of the shoe have recently surfaced via @thesolechaserz, @xcsnkr, and @prm.cotd, with official images expected soon. Stay tuned to SNKRDUNK Magazine for the latest updates!

Marked for a potential return, the Nike Air Jordan 5 “Grape” has been rumored to be released again in Summer 2025, succeeding its last outing in 2018 (sans laces as made iconic by Will Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air). This news comes courtesy of industry source @zsneakerheadz.
Originally released in 1990, the “Grape” Jordan 5 offered a unique off-court option within the canonical AJ line, which at the time primarily featured black, red, and white color schemes. Despite the official colorway being “Grape Ice”, the shoe quickly garnered the “Grape” nickname due to its prominent Aqua Blue hue.
This wouldn’t be the first time for the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” to see a retro release, with previous drops occurring in 2006 and 2013. With 2025 marking the 35th anniversary of the AJ5 silhouette, speculation suggests Jordan Brand may aim for a release as faithful as possible to the original design.
While details remain limited at this time, further information regarding the Nike Air Jordan 5 “Grape” is expected to surface closer to the rumored Summer 2025 release date.
