All eyes will befall Paris come the start of the 2024 Summer Olympics. Therefore, its apt that this upcoming Nike SB release draws inspiration from the city’s heritage and inherent passion for the arts—particularly its rich cinematic pedigree. Dubbed the Nike SB Dunk Low “City of Cinema”, the pair builds upon previous Parisian-inspired releases like the “Trocadéro Gardens” colorway and the GOATED “Paris” Dunk Low.

The pair employs vintage aesthetic elements to evoke the ambiance of classic Parisian film theaters. The upper features a Celestial Gold color scheme, with cracked leather on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay. This treatment creates a worn-in look reminiscent of aged movie posters and cinema facades.

For depth and texture, the toe box and midfoot panels utilize satin materials with a gradient transition from a darker Celestial Gold to a muted hue. Dark Team Red satin, a subtle nod to plush theater seats, adorns the collar and Swoosh.

Continuing the theme, the Nike SB branding on the tongue features a retro cinema-inspired font. This logo is mirrored on the insole, displayed alongside a custom rug print. The heel counter also receives a luxurious touch with an Armory Navy satin finish.

To further enhance the vintage aesthetic, the midsole appears aged with a Baroque Brown stain running along most of its length. Final touches introduced through its semi-translucent outsole.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “City of Cinema” is projected for a Holiday 2024 release through Nike’s brick-and-click stores. They’ll be available in men’s sizing and is expected to retail for US$125.
