[Update 29 May 2024] The NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar “Grey” release details are confirmed. The shoe is scheduled to drop on 1 June for US$160. It will launch officially through adidas and NEIGHBORHOOD, followed by a wider release at select global retailers.

[Update 27 May 2024] Shinsuke Takizawa, founder of NEIGHBORHOOD, has taken to Instagram to share a new set of detailed visuals of his upcoming adidas Superstar “Grey” collab. Check them out in the gallery above as we anticipate further updates on its release.

NEIGHBORHOOD, the Tokyo-based brand known for its edgy streetwear style, is teaming up with adidas once again. This collaboration follows their recent Superstar release with CLOT last year, and this time, they’re giving the iconic silhouette a clean and tonal Grey makeover.

The shoe maintains the classic shell toe but upgrades to luxurious tumbled leather for the main body and buttery suede accents. The Three Stripes and heel tab get the suede treatment, creating a textural contrast.

The brand makes a bold statement with their signature sword-and-skull logo on the lateral heel. Text on the back details the brand’s founding year, location, and philosophy.

The midsole gets a modern twist with a double-layered design and “TOKYO” prominently displayed on the heel. A matching Grey outsole completes the monochromatic look.

The NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Superstar “Grey” is expected to drop later this year at adidas stores, NEIGHBORHOOD retailers, and select other stores. While the official price hasn’t been confirmed, stay tuned to SNKRDUNK Magazine for all the latest updates!
