When it comes to longevity, the archetypal Nike Air Jordan 1 is nonpareil. No silhouette—in all its High and Low iterations—carries the same cultural cachet. Almost four decades since its debut, it still commands the same universal adoration as it did in its epoch. This, attested to by the reintroduction of the Nike Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred” next year, in lieu of its 40th anniversary.

Joining it is the titular Air Jordan 1 Low ’85 “Royal”. Despited being retrofitted over the years with modern specifications, next year’s release will be a faithful recreation of both their 1985 versions.

Expect an all-leather upper in Black, contrasted by Varsity Royal accents. Underfoot will see a Summit White midsole before reverting to its signature hue on the rubber outsole below.

There isn’t a firm release date disclosed but the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low ’85 “Royal” is projected for release in Spring 2025, likely alongside the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Sail”.
