The adidas Originals Gazelle SPZL “Core Black” Is Looking Like Luxury
The pair gets an elevated reimagination while retaining the elements that made it a cult classic in the first place.
The adidas Originals Gazelle is a silhouette with a cult following, captivating fans since its debut in 1971. It was initially crafted to be a lightweight trainer, but transitioned into a street-staple icon eventually.
This year, the shoe arrives in a SPZL edition, in “Core Black”. This rendition reimagines the Gazelle for a new era, while capturing the essence of its roots from the ’70s and ’80s.
First off, the Gazelle’s unmistakable T-toe and clean look are maintained. Then, in a pleasant turn of events, a luxurious feel is incorporated by way of supple nubuck leather as opposed to the silhouette’s usual classic leather. To add to the effect, Gold lettering on the side and a Black vulcanized sole complete the sophisticated aesthetic.
The adidas Originals Gazelle SPZL “Core Black” was released in Japan on 4 April 2024. It comes at an RRP of 19,800 JPY (~US$130). Head over to the SNKRDUNK App and favorite the pair in your size. You’ll get notified when prices drop.
