Premium Materials and Rich Colors: A Look at the New Balance 991v2 MiUK “Rosewood”
This March, a classic sneaker gets a luxurious makeover.
[Update 15 Mar 2024] The New Balance 991v2 MiUK “Rosewood” has been unleashed to fans on 14 March 2024 at 10AM, according to Sneakerjagers.
The pastel-shaded shoe is supported by New Balance’s ABZORB foam midsole, and features FuelCell technology, typically only found in the brand’s top-end running shoes—justifying its RRP of US$250. Check out the pair in the gallery above!
New Balance first introduced the 991 in 2001. With the Made in UK (MiUK) iteration, it quickly became known for its top-notch quality. Fast forward to 2023, and they gave the iconic silhouette a refresh with the 991v2, adding some new cushioning for even comfier steps.
The latest makeover for the 991v2 takes luxury to the forefront with a colorway named “Rosewood.” The shoe boasts a premium construction, featuring a mix of pigskin suede and nubuck overlays on a breathable mesh base.
The main attraction is the rich Rosewood hue that covers the mudguard, midfoot, and heel, accented with pops of brownish-red on the overlays. Cream tones add lightness to the toebox and tongue, while grey elements provide a balancing neutral base.
Completing the luxurious look is the midsole. It’s a cool combination of Quiet Grey and cream with some volt green highlights, all sitting on a sturdy black and grey outsole. This color scheme offers a unique blend of sophistication and sportiness.
The New Balance 991v2 MiUK “Rosewood” is dropping sometime in March 2024 for US$250 at New Balance stores and select retailers, both online and in-store.
