Soar Like a Hawk in the adidas Trae Young 3 “Acid Orange”
If Trae Young really is on his way to San Antonio this coming off-season, this sneaker would be a great way to cap off his time in the ATL.
Unlike many of his fellow NBA All-Stars, Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young will have his signature shoe’s latest colorway released after All-Star Weekend. Following its upcoming drop, the adidas Trae Young 3 “Acid Orange” will be followed by several more.
The “Acid Orange” references the Hawks’ color scheme, albeit in brighter and more vivid shades than those of the team’s official logo and jersey. There’s also a full-length gradient upper that adds further dimension to the overall look.
The midsole’s aesthetic takes inspiration from adidas’ Adilette slides. It transitions from yellow near the tongue to orange on the underfoot area.
Seen here via official images, this pair communicates the Hawk’s traditional red/orange/yellow color palette in a brighter, more playful way than what’s usually seen on-court. A full-length gradient upper and adilette-inspired midsole carry the design, naturally transitioning from yellow up near the tongue down into orange underfoot.
The adidas Trae Young 3 “Acid Orange” will be released on 1 March 2024. Each pair will sell for US$140.
