The Summer Olympic Games, one of the rare times anyone remotely interested in sports tunes in to see the best in the world compete. The integration of skateboarding into the last Olympics have brought the sport—and in the grand scheme of things, subculture—a new level of prestige.

And with it, a whole new demographic. One that includes street culturists who’ve embraced the aesthetics synonymous with skateboarders, or in Olympic terms, athletes.

Nike has done a lot in elevating said aesthetic. And as they’ve done in the Tokyo games in 2021, they’re introducing special colorways of silhouettes from their Nike SB line. It’s safe to assume that the SB Dunk Low will be part of the fray, considering the success of their collaboration with Piet Parra on the silhouette.

With new athletes in their skateboarding roster getting their own signature models, we’ll likely see the staples like the SB Dunks, Stefan Janoski, or most recently Leo Baker, get special colorways during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

There’s no word what the exact offerings are but the games will commence between 26 July to 11 August 2024. So we’ll likely get more details sometime before that. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, consider a look at the best Nike SB Dunks in 2023 just whet your appetite.
