Quentin Grimes, a third-year guard for the New York Knicks, just presented two exclusive Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Team USA” colorways ahead of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. The Red, White, and Blue color scheme—clearly derived from the country’s flag—are alternated between “Home” and “Away” styles.

The first pair’s upper is predominantly decked in White with Navy Blue accents on the Swooshes, the sockliner, with both working in tandem over the sole unit. The second contrasts this with a Navy Blue base layer with White accents on the Kobe logo, Swooshes, midsole, and heel overlay. Both pairs are imbued with with Red accents to complete the trifecta of colors that form the Stars and Stripes. They’re finished off with a polished White midsole and an eye-catching Navy and Red marbleized outsole.

These are exclusive to the Team USA roster but as it’s gone before, with enough time removed, they could eventually be availed to the public. When that happens, you’ll hear about it from us here!

Nevertheless, if you want to see more Kobes, there’re plenty of rare colorways on the SNKRDUNK App!

In other sneaker-related news, the Nike WMNS Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Metallic Silver/Photon Dust” is set to arrive in the summer 2024.
