The Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low is This Season’s “Rookie of the Year”
Inspired by the 2018 Air Jordan 1 High.
Jordan Brand has a knack of replicating its most popular colorways onto different silhouettes. In 2018, the Jumpman released the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rookie of the Year” to much fanfare. It’s inspired by what the man himself, Michael Jordan, wore during his Rookie of the Year acceptance speech. This year, we’ll see the same color blocking transitioned to the Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low.
Similar to its Air Jordan 1 High counterpart, this latest offering sees the Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low doused in brown, white and black. White leather takes on most of the upper’s base, while brown suede adorns the sneaker’s overlays. Black arrives as a contrast on the laces, profile Swooshes, and outsole underfoot. Of course, you can’t talk about an Elevate model without mentioning it’s enlarged midsole.
Notably, this 2023 iteration will not come with MJ’s rookie stats like the 2018 AJ1 High. Also, the Jordan Wings logo on the heel has been blanked out, following the silhouette’s traditional design.
