First looks of Balenciaga’s latest sneaker, the Balenciaga 5XL, have surfaced. This all black pair was reportedly shown during the luxury brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 “Mud Show” collection but was never released.

From the images, the Balenciaga 5XL takes after the 3XL with its chunky arched outsoles and oversized laces, but escalates things with a boot-like high-top silhouette. While most of the sneaker is wrapped up in black, reflective 3M accents can be spotted on the lacing system and tongue label.

As of the time of writing, there’s no news of a release for the Balenciaga 5XL sneaker but seeing that Balenciaga previously dropped a 3XL mule slip-on, we think it’s only time that we get a high-top version. We will keep you posted here once release details become available.
