Almost 40 years on, Nike brings back into style one of their most famous tennis models: the Nike Mac Attack, first released in 1984. Originally designed for tennis legend John McEnroe, the pair has been summoning excitement since its Social Status collaborations have been revealed. Even more now that Travis Scott has been spotted wearing a pair of them. Of course, retrofitted with Cactus Jack branding and his hallmark reverse Swoosh. Propelling it forward, comes the “Red Crush” colorway. A first look, courtesy of @xcsnkr.
The upper comes constructed with a multi-material mix of smooth leather and breathable mesh; the latter making up the overlays while the former providing support on the side panels. The majority of the surface sees a pristine white, allowing the “Red Crush” highlights on the Swooshes, collars, checkered tongue branding, heels, and outsoles to stand out. A “Nike” imprint finds its place on the heel, and the standard Nike Sportswear logo on the tongues.
Information is scant at the moment but the pair is projected to have an RRP of US$120. Stay tuned! More details should emerge imminently.
