[Update 29 Sep 2023] Following the exclusive drop in Puerto Rico, the Bad Bunny x adidas Response CL “Ecru Tint” is now expected to be released in NYC by way of another pop-up. This ascertained by Benito himself on his Instagram Story. The post has since been deleted but not without the sticky fingers of the web capturing a screenshot.
Therein the image are coordinates that lead to Arden House, a historic estate outside of Harriman, New York; alongside instructions from the artist: “[S]ay hi. Ask for Las Paso Fino.” The term used in horseback riding referring to the thoroughbred. The term has connections to Puerto Rico and Colombia.
[Update 22 Sep 2023] Not much has been seen of the “Ecru Tint” colorway of the Bad Bunny x adidas Response CL—till now, in a surprising reveal nonetheless.
An ad of the pair emerged in the Primera Hora newspaper in Puerto Rico. Therein is a phone number (1-855-SEP-2023) fans can call to learn about the sneaker’s release details, ascertaining the date to be on 22 September exclusively at the equestrian store Aperos 4J located in Caguas.
It seems apropos for the pair to debut in the seminal artist’s home country first, but there’s nothing yet that alludes to a wider global release. So stay tuned! In the meantime, consider a look at said newspaper ad and a closer on-feet look.
Bad Bunny showed up, showed out, but he’s not done showing off. After his massive showing at Coachella, Benito is en route to somewhere else. Even when he’s lounging (presumably in a private jet) however, he still knows how to get the public’s attention. Therein his mirror selfie: a first look at a “Tan/Brown” colorway of his adidas Response CL, a possible successor the previously seen “Black/White” makeup.
The updated version of the enduring running classic made its debut in 2022 in two hues, but since then, the adidas Originals team has quickly shifted its focus to the adidas Campus, especially with imminent release of the “Olive” colorway on 29 April. This possible forthcoming release has the aforementioned combination of tan and brown, accented with hints of purple on the adidas logo on the tongue, eyestay, and outsole.
There’s only one image to discern any information from so updates are definitely be in order. Stay tuned for them at this very page as soon as they emerge. With most of the year still behind the curtain, there’s reason to be optimistic these shoes will arrive within the year.
Till then, consider a look at the Bodega x Crocs All-Terrain “NICT-TECH” Clog, also embellished with purple and an earthy pallette.
