The Nike Air Force 1 silhouette has been around for over 40 years. It’s nothing short of a staple in every sneakerhead’s closet, but Nike hasn’t stopped experimenting with Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design. This time, the Beaverton-based brand is taking the Air Force 1 out into the Wild—literally.

Officially dubbed the Nike Air Force 1 Wild, this new variation of the silhouette is catered towards the trails. Off the bat, you’d notice the sole of the Air Force 1 Low being replaced with a much chunkier one, reminiscence of those found on hiking boots. The uppers come in a mix of ballistic mesh and nubuck, providing both comfort and durability for hikers. Additional cushioning can also be found along the inner heel, along with tongue pull tabs that makes it easier to put on.

While no official details have been announced, five different colorways of the upcoming women’s exclusive Nike Air Force 1 Wild have surfaced. Check them out via the top slider above, and stay tuned for more details.
