This upcoming release, dubbed “World’s Best Dad,” pays moving tribute to a pivotal moment in Michael Jordan’s legendary career: his emotional Father’s Day championship win in 1996, which occurred just three years after the tragic loss of his father.

This sneaker is rich with storytelling and nuanced design. The AJ3’s signature elephant print panels are reimagined with a brown, textured material that evokes the memory of the specific locker room carpet where MJ was famously seen collapsed in tears after securing the 1996 title. The rest of the overlays feature clean Sail leather, which imbues the shoe with a classic, vintage feel. On the outsole, a vibrant red nods to the legendary Air Jordan 11 “Bred” that Jordan wore during that historic 1996 Finals run. Inside the tongue, the embroidery reads “World’s Best,” perfectly encapsulating both a son’s love and a champion’s spirit.
