Modern-Day Deadstock: Jordan Brand and SAINT Mxxxxxx Resurrect the 90s

Jordan Brand is set to release a highly anticipated collaborative collection with SAINT Mxxxxxx, the Japanese brand renowned for its high-end vintage aesthetics and distressed craftsmanship. This collection reinterprets Michael Jordan’s iconic legacy through the unique “SAINT” lens, blending sportswear heritage with avant-garde streetwear.

The project is built on a narrative concept: “items recovered from a time capsule unearthed in April 2026.” Designer Yuta Hosokawa used his own memories of the 1990s as a creative springboard, designing pieces that mimic the look and feel of “modern-day deadstock”—vintage items found in pristine, unworn condition. Co-designer Cali DeWitt explained that the core of the collection explores the cyclical nature of time, where experiences and styles are reimagined as they pass through different eras.

About Jordan Brand x SAINT Mxxxxxx Capsule Collection

This collaboration consists of a varsity jacket, T-shirts, pro caps, hoodies, and pants. The standout varsity jacket utilizes a clever design where the flipped initials of the brand create a visual reference to the number 23. The “Saint Jordan” graphic featured on the pro cap represents the fusion of SAINT Mxxxxxx’s artistic vintage vibe with Jordan’s athletic dominance. The entire range reflects a meticulous attention to detail, aiming to capture the authentic texture of 90s sportswear.

The collection is scheduled to launch first at WORLD OF FLIGHT OSAKA on 1st May 2026(JST). A wider release is expected to follow on 23rd May 2026(JST) at select Jordan retailers and authorized SAINT Mxxxxxx stockists globally.
