Designed completely from scratch—from the body pattern to the original illustrations—this “ultimate bespoke” piece fuses traditional craftsmanship with cinematic history. It is scheduled to drop on the 2nd January 2026(JP), coinciding with the Japanese tradition of Hatsu-uri (the first sale of the new year).

About BEAMS JAPAN × TAILOR TOYO Godzilla Souvenir Jacket

This jacket features a luxurious, heavy black velveteen body, offering a sophisticated texture distinct from standard satin models. The design utilizes high-density embroidery to capture a dynamic, tension-filled scene: the front displays a face-off between Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, while the sleeves feature King Ghidorah. On the back, popular kaiju including Rodan, Mothra, and Hedorah are depicted against the backdrop of Mount Fuji, a classic motif in souvenir jacket culture.

Functionality is also a key component of this design. The jacket is constructed without padding, making it a versatile layering piece suitable for three seasons, from early autumn through spring. It boasts a reversible structure; the reverse side is a solid black, allowing for a minimalist aesthetic that contrasts with the bold embroidery of the main side. This flexibility allows the wearer to switch between a statement piece and a sleek, understated look depending on the occasion.
