One of only three Amazing Rare (A) cards to be released in Shiny Star V [S4a] and nine overall, this Yveltal card has understandably drawn the attention of a number of collectors, especially those interested in cards from the early eighth generation of the Pokémon TCG.

About Yveltal (Shiny Star V [S4a] 117/190)

As one of very few cards of the A rarity, this card depicting the box Legendary of Gen 6 Pokémon video game Pokémon Y has amassed a significant amount of demand, in particular among those who intend to collect the entire group of nine cards. Interest in this card might also be set to further increase due to the upcoming release of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the upcoming spin-off video game serving as a sequel to Pokémon X and Y.

During the period when this card was tournament-legal, it was often included in the Lugia VSTAR deck due to its Amazing Destruction attack which immediately KO’s the opposing Active Pokémon. Despite its heavy Energy cost of five Energy cards including one Fire, one Psychic, and one Dark Energy card, the Lugia VSTAR deck’s Special Energy cards gave Yveltal a way to bypass its burdensome Energy requirement.
