Selected Toys “R” Us stores in Japan will be hosting Play Class in Toys “R” Us events on 23 and 30 August 2025. These events are collaborative versions of the ONE PIECE Card Game’s How to Play Class events and are the first-ever collaboration between Toys “R” Us Japan and the ONE PIECE Card Game.

A total of 16 stores will be holding the event on 23 August while on 30 August, there will be 20 stores doing so. Each event takes place from 11AM-1PM JST and is restricted to elementary and junior high school students. In addition, participation on events on both day is forbidden.

Participation is free; however, there will be a limited number of entries. Participation tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from the store’s service counter from the time the store opens to the beginning of the event.

Three items will be distributed to each participant: an official ONE PIECE Card Game guidebook, a promotional card storage box, and the trial deck which the participant used during the event—either a Red Monkey D. Luffy or a Red Shanks deck. Both trial decks are only half-decks and thus can’t be used as-is in official gameplay. The decks will be distributed at random; participants aren’t allowed to choose which deck to use and take back with them.
