Nike and Kobe Bryant will always be tethered. Beyond the homecoming of Bryant’s signature footwear under the “Protro” line, the Swoosh continues to honor the latter by steadily broadening its Kobe-themed offerings.

This year has seen a strong showing with new Nike Kobe Protro releases, branded apparel, and even an unexpected Protro iteration of the Air Force 1 Low, reimagined in homage to Bryant—with the tribute to continue well into 2026. Recent industry reports indicate that the Dunk Low is slated to receive the “Protro” treatment in the coming year.

About the Kobe Bryant x Nike Dunk Low Protro

Though official images have yet to surface, early mock-ups (courtesy of Sneaker Files) suggest the pair will arrive in a “Fierce Purple/Blue Lagoon” makeup—an apparent tribute to Bryant’s 1996 NBA draft moment with the Charlotte Hornets.

The pair’s “Protro” suffix hints at performance-focused updates to the classic silhouette, much like previous Protro releases.

Release Details

At the time of writing, Nike has not confirmed the release of a Kobe Bryant x Dunk Low Protro. Details, including a confirmed look at the rumored “Draft Day” colorway, remain pending.

However, expectations point to a launch next summer through Nike SNKRS and select retailers, with pricing likely to exceed the standard Dunk Low retail. Stay tuned!
