A Bathing Ape (BAPE) is bringing back one of its most celebrated silhouettes—the BAPE STA Shark, redux. Initially a limited-edition release, this streetwear staple returns in three new colorways: black, white, and purple.

About the BAPE STA Shark

Arriving in the early 2000s, the BAPE STA’s Shark variant builds upon its pedigree, distinguished by its signature shark face graphics on the profiles, layered beneath the hallmark STA star logo. This year’s iteration further elevates the street culture classic with upgraded materials and refined detailing.

The 2025 BAPE STA Shark features a soft calf leather upper, with glossy patent leather adorning the STA logos. Additional nods to the brand’s roots include a Japanese flag accent near the heel, “WGM” branding on the heel tabs, wide laces, and custom BAPE lace locks.

Release Details

The new BAPE STA Shark collection will arrive on 9 August 2025, via BAPE’s official website and at BAPE retail chapters globally. Each pair will retail for 29,000 JPY (~US$200).
