In a groundbreaking crossover, American outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland teams up with Japan’s legendary game maker SEGA for their very first collaboration featuring Sonic the Hedgehog.

This exclusive partnership coincides with the grand opening of SEGA’s inaugural flagship store in Japan, SEGA STORE TOKYO, located in the heart of Shibuya PARCO.

About the Sonic the Hedgehog x Timberland Collaboration

At the spotlight of this collab is none other than Sonic, reimagined in a fresh and playful illustration sporting Timberland’s signature 6-inch Premium Waterproof Boots—affectionately known as the iconic “Yellow Boots.”

This special edition Sonic adorns the boot’s heel and hangtag, with cobalt blue laces paying homage to his electric blue fur, updating Timberland’s classic with a vibrant dash of character and charm.

The boots will be available in a limited run of just 30 pairs, retailing at 38,500 JPY (~US$261), making them a coveted collector’s piece for both sneakerheads and Sonic fans alike.

Complementing the footwear, the collection expands into graphic apparel featuring two T-shirt styles, each crafted in crisp black and white colorways. The long-sleeve tee sports a subtle Sonic logo on the chest and branding details on both sleeves, while the short-sleeve boldly prints Sonic across the back alongside co-branded logos on the front.

Both shirts feature vintage-inspired printing techniques—the white tees showcase a soft half-rubber print for a retro vibe, while the black tees utilize a frost wash effect that creates a textured, worn-in aesthetic.

Each shirt is produced in a strictly limited run of 50 per color, priced at 14,300 JPY (~US$97) for the long-sleeve and 11,000 JPY (~US$75) for the short-sleeve.

Release Details

These exclusive items hit the Timberland Shibuya PARCO store starting 9 August, where fans purchasing any piece of the collection will also receive a special limited-edition postcard and original sticker as gifts—adding an extra layer of collector appeal.
