Their collaborations regularly mark significant moments in the GEL-LYTE line, most notably with commemorative releases for the 25th and 30th anniversaries of the shoes, like the France-inspired capsule unveiled in 2024 to kick off celebrations for the 35th anniversary.

In 2025, the festivities continue in full force as mita once again joins ASICS to reinterpret their most celebrated silhouettes with the debut of the ASICS GEL-LYTE ∞.

The mita sneakers x ASICS GEL-LYTE ∞ “TRICO” fuses the signatures of the GEL-LYTE 3 and 5, notably the split-tongue construction, a feature emblematic of the series.

The pair doesn’t fully embrace a hybrid aesthetic, but mita’s influence is evident through details like the zip-closure tongue, quilted overlays, and the blue, white, and red “Trico” palette frequently seen in their collaborative catalogue.

Release Details

The mita sneakers x ASICS GEL-Lyte ∞ arrives as a Japan-exclusive release. Product availability begins with a raffle currently open, followed by an official in-store launch on 8 August.

Any remaining pairs will be offered through the mita webstore on 12 August. Get yours for 25,300 JPY (~US$$172.20).
