The Full Art illustration of this Special Art Rare (SAR) card depicts Mega Lucario ex in combat with Mega Venusaur—likely the same Mega Venusaur which is featured on the Mega Venusaur ex card from Mega Brave [M1L]. The narrative element of this card combined with the striking, dynamic imagery combine to make this one of the set’s standout pulls.

On top of that, this card is among the set’s cards with a version in the SAR rarity—further elevating the price of the card. Lucario also ranks among the most popular Pokémon—both among ordinary fans and “certain other” fans. When all these factors are taken into consideration, it’s only to be expected that this card has the status and value that it does.

Release Details

The English translation of this card will be card 179/132 from Mega Evolution [MEG]; it’ll be released as part of the set on 26 September 2025.
