About Mega Absol ex (Mega Brave [M1L] 089/063)

There’s no question whatsoever that the standout feature of this Special Art Rare (SAR) card is its stunning Full Art illustration. The card’s imagery depicts Mega Absol ex standing on the rooftop of a city building at night, its two wings unique to its Mega-Evolved form spread out. Many fans have also noted the visual similarities to the 2000s emo aesthetic.

It’s also possible that demand for this card will also bring about a similar increase in demand for the Super Rare (SR) Noivern card from Skyscraping Perfection [S7D]. Like Mega Absol ex, Noivern is illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita and has been theorized to be the lower half of a connecting illustration; some claim that Noivern is descending from the rooftop on which Mega Absol ex is standing.

The combination of the card’s visuals and rarity is the primary reason behind its value. The popularity of its featured Pokémon adds further appeal; in addition, this card can expect another bump in demand if it’s ever confirmed that it is indeed linked to the aforementioned Noivern card.

This card’s English translation will be out on 26 September 2025 alongside the rest of Mega Evolution [MEG].
