The Shanks card which was originally released as part of ONE PIECE Card Game set Wings of the Captain [OP-06] was one of many to receive a reprint in ONE PIECE CARD THE BEST Vol. 2 [PRB-02]. Now in the rarity of Super Rare Special (SR-SPC), the reprint ranks as one of the set’s standout cards.

About Shanks (Wings of the Captain [OP-06] OP06-007)

The card’s Parallel Art illustration is relatively simple yet visually striking. It depicts Shanks attacking with Grypohn, his sabre, after having imbued it with Haki—the mysterious energy wielded by a select few within the One Piece canon. This is shown by the waves of Haki surrounding Shanks as he prepares to strike. The imagery also features fourth-wall breaking as the attack can be seen to have distorted the banner at the bottom of the card.

Gameplay-wise, this card is often included in the Red Shanks deck as well as (less commonly) the Red/Purple Luffy deck due to its massive total Power of 12000 as well as its ability to immediately KO an opposing Character card with 10000 power or less as soon as it’s played.

This card’s English version has already been released.

The sale price of a Shanks (Wings of the Captain [OP-06] OP06-007) card of SR-SPC rarity is 8,500 JPY (~US$58).
