In fact, we’ve only seen one other instance of this hardened makeover, a nocturnal edition from 2021. Surprisingly, Nike is revisiting this concept four years later with the Nike Air Max Plus Cordura “Dark Smoke Grey”.

The benefits of Cordura in footwear are clear, offering both weather resistance and abrasion resistance, making it an ideal choice for the upcoming harsher seasons in the Northern Hemisphere. This new iteration replaces the Air Max Plus’ usual mesh base layer with the weather-ready Cordura.

The winter-inspired color palette features a greyscale combination of Dark Smoke Grey, College Grey, and black, which stands out on the shoe’s iconic wavy overlays. For those who prefer a bit more color, subtle, vibrant accents appear with a chrome Swoosh and yellow touches underfoot.

Release Details

The Nike Air Max Plus Cordura “Dark Smoke Grey” is anticipated to be released as part of the Swoosh’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection and will retail for US$180.
