Last year, Action Bronson’s “Rosewater” collaboration with New Balance gave us our first glimpse of a unique synthetic upper on the 1906R. This innovative design, since adopted in various collaborations and general releases, signals a new direction for the silhouette, even without a distinct family name. Now, for Fall 2025, New Balance is set to release the 1906R “No Sew” in two striking colorways.

About the New Balance 1906R “No Sew” Pack

This version of the shoe maintains the 1906R’s signature technical features, but with a significant material overhaul. The upper is completely covered in a grid-patterned synthetic material, with reinforced sections substituting the traditional leather or suede overlays. Pull laces add a utilitarian touch, giving the shoe a look reminiscent of Salomon’s designs, especially with the altered texture.

The two New Balance 1906R “No Sew” pairs dropping include a “White/Black” colorway pictured above, and an all-Black pair, which has yet to be revealed.

Release Details

The New Balance 1906R “No Sew” Pack is anticipated to arrive in Fall 2025. Both colorways are expected to retail for US$155 via New Balance.
