Nike is re-releasing a classic from its archives: the Nike Astrograbber. Originally designed by Bill Bowerman in 1974 for American football and AstroTurf fields, this shoe is making a comeback after recent collaborations with Bode.

Its return is timely, especially with the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching in North America. Many brands have been exploring their archives for vintage, field-inspired sneakers, and the Astrograbber aligns perfectly with this trend.

For its general release, the Astrograbber will be available in an “Aluminum/Soft Yellow” colorway.

About the Nike Astrograbber “Aluminum/Soft Yellow”

It features a smooth aluminum-colored leather upper with soft yellow accents on the leather Swoosh and laces. The shoe also boasts old-school Nike branding in orange and black on the tongue, complemented by subtle aluminum tones on the eyestays and tongue. Finishing details include yellow Nike text on the heel and a matching rubber midsole and waffle outsole.
