About the Téla D’Amore x Jordan Flight Court “The World Is Your Court”

Who Decides War was founded by life partners Téla D’Amore and Everard “Ev Bravado” Best, who met at New York’s Lower East Side. In the few years since its inception, the artisanal label has quickly risen to prominence in the industry, becoming a finalist in the prestigious CFDA Fashion Fund and a semi-finalist in the LVMH Prize.

Known for their intricate work with denim, distressed designs, and powerful messaging around social justice and empowerment, Who Decides War redefines modern Americana through a diverse lens.

The collaboration with Jordan Brand represents a significant milestone, as Who Decides War was the first brand tapped to debut the Jordan Flight Court silhouette. This partnership is perfectly congruent with D’Amore’s background, as she grew up surrounded by basketball and skate culture, making the Flight Court model an ideal canvas for her design proclivities.

Jordan Flight Court Key Design Elements

The Jordan Flight Court itself is a shoe that blends the Jumpman’s basketball pedigree with skate-influenced aesthetics.

Borrowing elements from archetypal Air Jordan models, including the AJ3, 4, and 5, the Flight Court features a low-top make with a padded collar and street-ready sensibilities. The pair’s midsole is reminiscent of the Jordan 4 but with a more refined appearance due to the absence of typical plastic accents.

Téla D’Amore’s interpretation of the Flight Court incorporates several signature elements that reflect Who Decides War’s design philosophy:

Premium Materials: The Flight Court features a “Coconut Milk” nubuck upper with hairy suede mudguard, combining luxury with streetwear aesthetics

Distressed Detailing: D’Amore’s signature darning technique appears throughout the shoe, especially in high-wear areas where creasing occurs

Hidden Messaging: The phrase “The World Is Your Court” is embroidered on the inner tongue in bold Varsity Red, reinforcing themes of empowerment and self-expression

▪Tear-Away Elements: A removable heel panel allows wearers to choose between displaying the Jumpman logo or revealing the Who Decides War bullet logo underneath

▪Co-Branding: The footbed features a combined Jumpman and Who Decides War window motif logo

Who Decides War “The World Is Your Court” Collection

The collaboration extends beyond just the shoes to encompass a comprehensive seven-piece collection and an accompanying global campaign. Dubbed “The World Is Your Court,” the campaign follows D’Amore on her travels to fashion capitals, including New York, Paris, and Tokyo, as she seeks inspiration for the collection.

The campaign embodies the collaboration’s central themes of womanhood, creative ambition, and unapologetic individuality. It represents D’Amore’s personal philosophy of empowerment, encouraging wearers to embrace their unique identities and express themselves fearlessly.

Beyond the Jordan Flight Court, the collection also features a baby tee, full-zip hoodie, knit cardigan, skirt, tank top, and knit pants, all crafted with the same MO, exactitude and storytelling that has come to define Who Decides War’s aesthetic, with prices ranging from US$70 to US$200.
