The first promotional card of the Mega era has now been confirmed. That card will be Mega Signal; it will be distributed as part of the MEGA Summer League events in Japan to be held from 1 August to 30 September 2025.

About Mega Signal (M-P Promotional Cards 008/M-P)

The card features the emblem seen on the Mega Stones: the items in the Pokémon video games that enable certain Pokémon to Mega Evolve. It’s thus apt that the first promotional card of the Mega era as well as the card to be handed out at the event that kicks off that era is a Mega Signal card.

Additionally, the main reason that Mega Evolution was brought back to the TCG was to match the video games where it will be returning for the upcoming spin-off game Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Thus, this card’s appeal builds off the hype for the game’s launch on 16 October.

This card’s status as an event-exclusive card is highlighted by the Pokémon Card Gym logo on its right side. In addition, the fact that this card is event-exclusive and thus only available for a limited time is likely to further drive up the card’s value.

Release Details

There’s no information as of yet as to whether this card will ever have an English version. In addition, its sale price won’t be confirmed until the first copies to reach the open market do so. Stay with us for more information on those points.
