Since his MLB debut in 2018, Shohei Ohtani has redefined baseball as the sport’s first two-way player in decades. Beyond his on-field prowess, Ohtani is also one of the few active MLB players to boast his own signature sneaker. Following initial releases and a recent New Balance 990v6 collaboration, Ohtani and New Balance are back with a fresh collection of footwear and apparel.

About the Shohei Ohtani x New Balance Signature Collection

This latest New Balance Signature Collection from Ohtani features two versions of the FuelCell Ohtani 1: a cleat for the field and a trainer. Both sport a clean, pale cream upper accented with cool blue and red. The signature “N” on the sides is split between navy and royal blue, complemented by branding elements such as “SO1”, New Balance text, and Ohtani’s logo in blue and red.

Beyond the performance shoes, Ohtani’s collection includes excellent options for casual wear. His take on the RCVRY Slide is a comfortable foam slip-on in white with navy details. These navy touches appear on the forefoot strap, showcasing Ohtani’s logo of him rounding the bases, alongside an NB logo. Completing the footwear offerings is the Minimus TR v2, a training sneaker that also comes in a similar cream, navy, and red color scheme, adorned with Ohtani’s signature logo.

The collection extends beyond shoes to include a range of apparel, such as hoodies, mesh tees, cotton shorts, performance tees, sweaters, and classic t-shirts. These pieces are available in monochromatic color schemes like white, red, and navy, with Ohtani’s signature logo prominently displayed on the tops. The clothing items will be released at a later date.

Release Details

The Shohei Ohtani x New Balance Signature Collection is currently available through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. All footwear comes in men’s sizing, with the following prices: FuelCell Ohtani 1 Cleat for US$160, FuelCell Ohtani 1 Trainer for US$120, RCVRY Slide for US$55, and Minimus TR v2 for US$135.
