The newly-released Tactical Try Pack: Dark Magic / HERO / Mikanko included a significant number of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards which while not outright part of the iconic Dark Magician archetype, were nonetheless closely linked to cards in it. One such card was Timaeus the United Magidragon.

Timaeus the United Magidragon has several links to the Dark Magician archetype, one of the most well-known card archetypes in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. The character’s armor is based on that worn by Dark Magician in the illustration of Dark Magician the Dragon Knight. In addition, the appearance and effects of Timaeus the United Magidragon are a combination of two other cards which use either Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl as Fusion Material: Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight and Amulet Dragon.

As one of the 12 cards in Tactical-Try Pack: Dark Magic / HERO / Mikanko which has a Prismatic Secret Rare version, this card carries an inherent level of value. Its connections to the Dark Magician archetype popularized by that archetype’s major role in the Yu-Gi-Oh anime will further drive up its value.
