[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] The Gaze of Timaeus (Tactical-Try Pack Dark Magic / HERO / Mikanko TTP1-JP003) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
Unlike its counterpart, this one -didn't- take 11 years to become a real card.

Although The Gaze of Timaeus, a card from the newly-launched Tactical-Try Pack: Dark Magic / HERO / Mikanko, might not on the surface appear to be a card directly linked to the highly popular Dark Magician archetype, a closer look at its card effects reveals that such is the case—and this is one of the main reasons behind the card’s value.
About The Gaze of Timaeus (Tactical-Try Pack: Dark Magic / HERO / Mikanko TTP1-JP003)
The Gaze of Timaeus has a gameplay effect which makes use of either a Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl card. Cards of this archetype are extremely popular with the Yu-Gi-Oh fanbase due to their connection to series protagonist Yugi Muto; as such, cards which have any level of connection to Dark Magician cards do receive a value boost as well.
This is also one of the 12 cards in Tactical-Try Pack: Dark Magic / HERO / Mikanko which has a version in Prismatic Secret Rare, the highest rarity in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. In addition, The Gaze of Timaeus is a Quick-Play Spell counterpart of a card which when it was released back in 2014 caused a major stir within the community: The Eye of Timaeus. This is because The Eye of Timaeus debuted in the Yu-Gi-Oh anime in March 2003 but took over a decade to be turned into a real card by Konami.
