Although not that many in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG community had necesssarily been in favor of a ban on Number 67: Pair-a-Dice Smasher, after the announcement that it would be getting the banhammer was made, most found themselves agreeing with Konami’s call. In hindsight, there are several key reasons as to why it should have been banned sooner.

About Number 67: Pair-a-Dice Smasher (Number Complete File -Piece of Memories- NCF1-JP067)

The main issue with Number 67: Pair-a-Dice Smasher was how easily it could be used to force turn skips on the opponent, allowing the player to set up and build a significant board advantage. Number 67: Pair-a-Dice Smasher also fits into certain deck archetypes in ways that make it much easier and lower-risk to use to lock the opponent out of making any moves.

From the collector’s perspective, the rarer and more valuable of this card’s two versions is the Ultra Rare version from Number Complete File -Piece of Memories-. Like all the Number cards included in it, Number 67: Pair-a-Dice Smasher was numbered to match its cards name. The card’s effect and illustration also allude to the duel between Dark Yugi and the ZTV director, taken from the second chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh manga
