Konami’s list of new card restrictions and bans for Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournaments in Japan and Asia-Pacific starting from 1 July 2025 has been posted on the official Yu-Gi-Oh TCG website. A total of 14 cards have experienced changes to their respective playability statuses.

Two cards have now been fully banned from all tournament decks; the two cards are Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess and Number 67: Pair-a-Dice Smasher. Neither card had previously had any restrictions placed upon them.

Three cards are now in the restricted category, meaning that just one copy is allowed to be included in a player’s registered tournament decks. These cards are Anti-Spell Fragrance, Wandering Gryphon Rider, and Knightmare Goblin. Anti-Spell Fragrance had no prior restrictions imposed upon it while the other two cards had been fully banned.

The two new additions to the semi-restricted category which limits its cards to two copies in registered tournament decks are Spright Jet and Mask Change II. Both cards had been in the restricted category prior to the update.

Finally, seven cards have had all restrictions removed. The cards in question are Cyber Jar, Zoodiac Drident, Speedroid Terrortop, Rescue-ACE Air Lifter, Nightmare Throne, Fusion Destiny, and Big Welcome Labrynth. All of these except for Zoodiac Drident had been semi-restricted; Zoodiac Drident was previously in the restricted category.
