Meta and Oakley have unveiled their latest collaboration: the Meta x Oakley “HSTN” glasses. Following subtle hints on Instagram earlier this week, these new smart glasses signify the initial phase of a long-term partnership, with the goal of establishing a new category of “Performance AI glasses.”

About the Meta x Oakley “HSTN” Glasses

Pronounced “HOW-stuhn,” the Oakley Meta HSTN glasses draw inspiration from the successful Meta Ray-Ban collaboration. They blend stylish design with advanced technology, enabling users to capture high-resolution, first-person video hands-free. Key features include a built-in 3K camera and a battery that provides up to eight hours of continuous use. The accompanying charging case offers an additional 48 hours of power. Additionally, the glasses incorporate powerful integrated open-ear speakers for clear audio, even during workouts, and boast an IPX4 rating for sweat and splash resistance.

At the core of the Oakley Meta HSTN is Meta AI, functioning as a personal assistant. Users can leverage it to plan workouts, seek answers to questions, or initiate video recording.

Oakley and Meta are introducing six different options for the Oakley Meta HSTN. Three of these will incorporate Oakley’s PRIZM™ lens technology, engineered to enhance visual processing. To commemorate Oakley’s 50th anniversary this year, a limited-edition version featuring 24K PRIZM™ polarized lenses and gold accents will be the first to launch.

Release Details

Pre-orders for the limited-edition Meta x Oakley “HSTN” glasses commence on 11 July, priced at US$499. The remainder of the collection, which is also compatible with prescription lenses, will be available later this summer, with prices beginning at US$399.
