PUMA’s Mostro silhouette is amid a renaissance. Originally launched in 1999, the Mostro drew inspiration from a 1968 spiked track runner and an ‘80s surf shoe, resulting in a distinctive design that has overtime gained traction within fashion circles.

As interest in this cult classic is rejuvenated, PUMA has enlisted a roster of collaborators—from JJJJound, Aries, to Concepts—to inject fresh energy into the model. The latest chapter in this revival sees European retailer Slam Jam stepping into the spotlight with its take on the Mostro.

About the Slam Jam x PUMA Mostro Pack

Slam Jam’s approach is understated yet refined, offering the Mostro in two monochromatic colorways: Black and White. Each pair features premium leather construction, with the retailer’s branding subtly placed on the TPU panel near the tongue.

The design retains the signature elements of the Mostro, including the Velcro strap adorned with PUMA branding, a TPU heel counter embossed with the PUMA logo, and a leather tongue. Tonal nylon straps provide lockdown support, harmonizing with the overall palette of each colorway.

Underfoot, the Mostro’s iconic spiked sole unit remains intact, extending from the outsole up onto the midsole sidewall. The look is completed with a matching tonal outsole.

Release Details

The Slam Jam x PUMA Mostro Pack is set for release in Summer 2025 via Slam Jam, PUMA, and select retailers, both online and in-store. Offered in unisex sizing, retail pricing details have not yet been confirmed.
