adidas’s “Made In Italy” initiative has been busy, elevating classic silhouettes like the Samba, Gazelle, and Superstar with luxurious upgrades. Now, the adidas Italia from the 1960s is the latest model to receive this premium treatment, a fitting choice given its heritage.

About the adidas Italia “Core White/Green/Cream White”

The adidas Italia, first released in 1959, gained popularity during the 1960 Rome Summer Olympics. It’s known for its incredibly slim profile, featuring a flexible leather upper, a slender sole with herringbone tread, and a protective rubber toe cap. Distinctive serrated “X” overlays adorn the heel, and a padded leather layer is integrated into the ankle for comfort.

This new adidas Italia “Core White/Green/Cream White” colorway is a nod to a 2001 release, though that version included a suede t-toe overlay. With the current trend favoring slim sneakers and the use of high-quality materials, this premium rendition of the adidas Italia is expected to appeal to the fashion-forward.
