Not every card from recently-released Pokémon TCG dual set Black Bolt [SV11B] and White Flare [SV11W] is an entirely new card. The Eelektrik card from Black Bolt [SV11B] is a reprint of a card from Gen 5 set Red Collection [BW2]—and it has proven to be the subject of notable controversy.

About Eelektrik Master Ball Mirror (Black Bolt [SV11B] 034/086)

Creatures Inc. recently confirmed that only this newer version of the card from Black Bolt [SV11B] would be valid for use in tournaments. The OG from Red Collection, however, will not. This was a decision which many in the Pokémon TCG community disagreed with due to the historical precedent regarding the tournament legality of the original versions of most reprinted cards—and this controversy has provided this card with more of a spotlight.

The version of this Eelektrik card from Black Bolt [SV11B] also has a Master Ball Mirror version. Much rarer than the usual version, it comes with a special layer of holofoil featuring a Master Ball print across the lower half of the card.

Release Details

This card’s English version will be out on 18 July 2025 when the international version of Black Bolt [BLK] is released.

The price of an Eelektrik Master Ball Mirror (Black Bolt [SV11B] 034/086) card is 2,500 JPY (~US$17).

As of 10 June 2025, this card is selling at below retail price on SNKRDUNK.
