After a relatively quiet start to the year, Joe Freshgoods returns to the kitchen with New Balance to cook up a new take on the Fresh Foam X RCVRY slide—a departure from his usual canvas of classic New Balance silhouettes.

Every Now & Then, founded in Chicago in 2022, is a creative hub that hosts pop-up installations, panel discussions, and community-focused events, all while curating a selection of premium footwear, apparel, and accessories for the city. The project was teased with a ‘90s sitcom-inspired Instagram Reel, where Joe Freshgoods, in character as Mr. Robinson, makes a memorable appearance at New Balance headquarters.

The product itself arrives in a vivid green co-branded box—a color that has become synonymous with Freshgoods’ creative direction. The “Everydays” slide is constructed from a single piece of injected EVA foam, with dark green pods underfoot and a 360-degree massaging interior, complemented by a laceless design and tonal green execution.

This release marks a shift in Freshgoods’ storytelling approach. While previous collaborations leaned heavily into narrative and nostalgia, the Fresh Foam X RCVRY “Everydays” adopts a more stripped-back, meditative vibe—an ode to rest and reset. The slide’s launch is tied to a Chicago block party hosted by Every Now & Then, further cementing the brand’s role as a community connector.
