Though something of a "pocket pick", this deck can wreak serious havoc on opponents in the right hands.

ONE PIECE Card Game Red/Yellow Betty Deck

A somewhat niche pick in the current ONE PIECE Card Game metagame, the Red/Yellow Betty deck has nevertheless made sporadic appearances in later stages of various tournaments. Its somewhat unconventional playstyle has enabled its players to catch opponents off-guard.

Strategy

With this deck, the idea is to forgo attacking the opponent’s field and instead directly target the opposing Leader card. In the early game, two of the deck’s more important cards are a pair of Emporio Ivankov cards—one from Wings of the Captain [OP-06] and one from Awakening of the New Era [OP-05]. By using these cards—especially when combined with the effect of the Leader card from Awakening of the New Era [OP-05]—getting the deck’s high-Power Character cards into play becomes considerably simpler.

Instead of board control, this deck emphasizes the removal of individual threats and blockers. The main cards for this are the Bartholomew Kuma and Lindbergh cards from Awakening of the New Era [OP-05], in particular after Character cards with Power-reducing effects have been used. In the late game, Charlotte Cracker from Pillars of Strength [OP-03] can be used to directly target the opposing Leader card while also forcing the opponent to trash two Life cards. Another late-game option is the Monkey D. Dragon card from 500 Years in the Future [OP-07] which not only can make use of its Rush effect to threaten a 9000 Power attack; it also assists with DON!! ramping if necessary.

When mulliganing, the two Emporio Ivankov cards are the most important because those cards apply pressure upon the opponent, especially in the early game and mid-game.

The deck which poses the greatest threat to the Red/Yellow Betty deck is the Yellow Enel deck because of its aggression-blunting capabilities, especially via the Gedatsu card from Awakening of the New Era [OP-05]. The card in the Red/Yellow Betty deck most capable of countering it is the Emporio Ivankov card from Wings of the Captain [OP-06] which is able to KO Gedatsu before it starts threatening the deck’s Leader card or any key Character cards.

Price

The cumulative price of every card in the Red/Yellow Betty deck is at least 9,580 JPY (~US$66).
