The Eustass Kid card from Romance Dawn [OP-01] is a major piece of several different green decks in the ONE PIECE Card Game metagame such as the Green Bonney, Green Uta, and Red/Green Smoker decks. This is understandable as the card has one of the strongest effects of any card in the current meta.

About Eustass Kid (Romance Dawn [OP-01] OP01-051)

By far the most notable quality of the Eustass Kid card lies in the fact that when rested, all opposing attacks are redirected towards it. This can thus be used to protect the deck’s Leader card as well as its most important Character cards. On top of that, the player can force this card to be rested once per turn and even play a Character card with a cost of 3 or less by doing so. In addition, this card can itself be used as an attacker thanks to its considerable total Power of 8000.

The standout version of this card for collectors is the reprint which depicts Kid on a wanted poster. Like other similar cards, this card’s Parallel Art illustration has been designed to resemble the wanted posters from the One Piece manga; this is a detail that considerably elevates the card’s value. This card also comes in the rarity of Super Rare Special (SR-SPC); as such, its rarity accounts for a significant chunk of its sizable price tag.
