While the 1978 film Game of Death is often linked to other footwear, a rare piece of trivia, known only to the savviest cinephiles, reveals a yellow-and-black adidas trainer on Lee’s feet during the famous fight scene with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Leveraging this obscure detail, adidas has collaborated with Lee’s estate to craft this special edition.

The adidas Jabbar Lo reimagines the former Laker’s debut signature model with a vibrant yellow suede and leather upper, contrasted by dark accents on the profiles, tongue, and heel—a direct nod to Lee’s iconic Game of Death jumpsuit. Gold Metallic elements on the spine depict Lee in a mid-air pose, while his signature is stitched onto the lateral heel, affirming this official tribute.

This collaboration goes deep: insoles feature black-and-white stills from Game of Death, showing Abdul-Jabbar and his legendary teacher. The commemorative packaging is equally special, boasting golden logos, an image of the two embracing, and tissue paper showcasing their distinctive physiques in a T-pose.
