An official report issued by The Pokémon Company (TPC) stated that over the 2024-25 fiscal year spanning from April 2024 to March 2025, a total of 10.2 billion Pokémon TCG cards were printed worldwide.

This figure represents the second-highest annual total in the history of the Pokémon TCG. The single-year record currently belongs to the 2023-24 fiscal year when 11.9 billion cards were printed.

As of the end of the 2024-25 fiscal year, Pokémon TCG cards were printed in 16 different languages and sold in more than 90 countries and territories.

Ever since the Pokémon TCG debuted in 1996, a total of 75 billion cards have been printed. Of these, 44.6 billion, or almost 60% of all Pokémon TCG cards ever printed, have been printed since the beginning of the 2020-21 fiscal year.

Since that fiscal year began shortly after the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, that figure adds further credence to the commonly stated point that the pandemic took the Pokémon TCG’s popularity to new heights.
