Ultra-Rare Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Overlace “Crimson” Sample Surfaces
The pair pictured is in the late Virgil Abloh's personal shoe size.
Before his untimely passing, visionary Virgil Abloh left an enduring legacy of creativity, openly sharing his extensive design process on a microsite for aspiring creators. This digital archive holds a treasure trove of unreleased Nike footwear, including unique colorways, samples, and re-imagined designs, some of which may eventually see a public release, like the anticipated Off-White x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Alaska”.

Among these rare artifacts is an Air Force 1 Overlace sample in a striking, seldom-seen “Crimson” hue. This particular pair bears Abloh’s unmistakable design hallmarks: the signature Helvetica text on the medial side, exposed stitching on the Swoosh, and “AIR” branding on the midsole. The distinctive wide overlace system, a feature not included in the retail release of any Air Force 1 Lows in this style, underscores its rarity and deep archival origins.
According to prominent rare shoe dealer @pgknows, this sample is in Virgil’s personal shoe size (US 12) and is believed to be one of only two or three existing pairs globally. While its exact provenance remains undisclosed, this exceptionally scarce Air Force 1 Overlace sample is available for those willing to meet its considerable price.
