Fashion maverick Chitose Abe continues to redefine modern luxury, this time turning her deconstructive flair to an undeniable wardrobe staple: classic denim. The sacai x Levi’s SS25 collection, first previewed during Paris Fashion Week, promises to be a masterclass in hybrid design.

About the sacai x Levi’s SS25 Collection

The collection features a range of standout pieces. For women, a denim jacket cleverly fuses Levi’s Type II and Type III designs on the front with Type I cinch details on the back, offering a sculptural, slightly A-line silhouette. A sophisticated Denim x Matelassé Twill Jacket and a stylish jumpsuit with bib-style top and wide-leg cut round out the women’s offerings.

For men, the collection maintains a streamlined aesthetic. The men’s denim jacket mirrors the women’s fused design in a cleaner cut, accented with custom sunspot gold buttons. A highlight is the Denim x Matelassé Twill Reversible Blouson, which transforms from a tailored exterior to a trucker jacket, revealing details like exposed selvedge and sacai’s unique anchor buttons.

Adding universal appeal are unisex pieces, notably an ultra-wide baggy jean with an innovative 7-pocket construction and a reversible denim/grosgrain belt.

Mark your calendars—the sacai x Levi’s SS25 collection is set to pre-launch via popups at Selfridges on 26 May, and Landmark Hong Kong on 27 May. A global launch follows on 28 May via Levi’s flagship stores, sacai, and select retailers including Dover Street Market.
